Eliza Maknojia PHYS 1401 Lab 2: Kinematics in One Dimension Distance is the length travelled by an object, while displacement is the difference between initial and final position of an object. Therefore, distance can have the same value as displacement but not always since distance does not consider the direction of motion, while displacement does. This makes distance a scalar quantity while displacement is vector. Displacement can never have a larger value than distance. The velocity of each ball measured in

Unformatted text preview: this lab was average velocity. The acceleration for each ball is different this is due to the objects mass and its acceleration due to gravity. As the balls mass increases the acceleration, on average, increases as well. Eliza Maknojia PHYS 1401 Lab 3: Vectors in 2-D When doing vector addition all the methods used should yield in the same resultant vectors. Calculations using trigonometric functions are the most accurate method for making this determination...

What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
