Joel Diaz ENC 1101 – MWF/12:20 10/05/09 McLawhorn Disco-Dance: An Introduction (pg. 272) The author, Janet J. Jasek, wrote to an audience that’s interested in dance and music. She was specifically targeting an audience that is interested in learning more about disco and how to disco-dance. Her intended audience may be young. The author talks about disco and rock and compares the two. She talks about the controversy between the two genres, and also mentions how disco is becoming even more popular, and offers locations to several discotheques. She ends it by mentioning how her book offers step-by-step instructions on how to disco-dance as well as basic concepts.
