MIS 235 Dr. Havelka October 13, 2009 Test Corrections 2. For question number 2, I put answer E, data, when the correct answer was B, procedures. My answer was incorrect because a business process model is a network of activities, resources, facilities, and information that interact to achieve some business function. The best answer to describe this is procedures because it is the method you use to start the program, enter your report, print it, and save and back up your file. Procedures carry out the activities, resources, facilities, and information in a business process model. 10. For question number 10, I put answer B, Information System, when the correct answer was A, Management Information Systems (MIS). My answer was incorrect because MIS uses an information system (technology) that helps businesses achieve their goals and objectives. MIS has three key elements: development and use, information systems, and business goals and objectives. The above statements answer question number 10 almost exactly. I incorrectly put Information System which is defined as only a group of components that interact to produce information. 12. For question number 12, I put answer E, Valuable (worth its cost), when the correct answer was D, timely. The reason timely is the correct answer is because it is data produced in time for its intended use.
