Tyler Dornbusch Psyc105-010 2/8/2011 Three Good Things Written Assignment Overall, I thought that the Three Good Things exercise was a very useful and positive experience for me personally. As a college student, I am always on the go from class to the gym to the library. Therefore, I rarely allow myself to take a minute to simply reflect on the day and all of the things that have happened to me while focusing on the positive. Overall, I know that I have a very good life but I rarely take the time to appreciate it. Another useful element of this exercise was considering why the good things that occur in my life are happening. Again, this is nothing that I would typically consider on my own. It made me realize that lots of the best things that are occurring in my life are a direct result of my own efforts. It helps me to notice that I might have even more control over my happiness than I ever realized. Lots of the most stressful moments in life are the ones where I feel that I have no control over them, and the opposite is also true. Many
