Case Application: A Perky Way to Productivity 1. I do think it is very important for a company to have good employee benefits. It helps an employee to like his or her job better on top of what he or she is doing for work. Each employee has different needs and matters to take care in life, as a company tries to help out with employees after work matters and take care of their needs is very outstanding to employees. As an employee who will not choose a company that will well take care employees’ needs if there is a choice. As a mom, it is very important for me to know if my kids are doing well and well taking care of before anything else. When a company like Genentech provides childcare onside, it helps employees not worry about travel far to see their kids during the day. In case of emergency parents can be there for their kids soon. It is a very big help and benefit for employees who are parents. This kind of benefits helps employees feel satisfied with their job and happy to be working the company. In our textbook, it talks about benefits attract qualified applicants, affect whether applicants accept their employment offers or, once employed, decide to stay with the organization.
