What is it about project management that offers MegaTech a competitive advantage in its industry? The flexibility that characterizes project management allowed MegaTech to adapt from a stable environment into the international marketplace. With the creation of NAFTA, MegaTech was faced with competition from international corporations and the company decided that through innovation and effenciency, it would succeed instead of survive. What elements of the marketplace in which MegaTech operates led the firm to believe that project management would improve its operations?

The company was able to see the future demand of its product and act accordingly. When NAFTA was enacted, project management was a way for the managers within MegaTech to avoid being left in the dust because of the inability to forecast the demand of product. MegaTech created research teams to venture into new areas within the automotive marketplace. Special project teams were created to constantly improve already existing products in order to remain in the current marketplace....
