WA2 3 1. Summarize the four approaches to project screening discussed in the text. Mention advantages and disadvantages. The four approaches to project screening are the checklist model, simplified scoring model, analytical hierarchy process, and profile model. Each approach is used by corporations to set priorities with the selection of projects in terms of success, time, and budget. Pinto (2007), states that these models must be realistic, capable, flexible, easy to use, cost effective, and comparable. The checklist model is used as an initiator to developing a plan of action during the project selection process (Pinto, 2007). The checklist creates a rule set that the project must fall under to be considered important. This model often uses a rating system of high, medium, and low to evaluate the attributes of the project.
