Gwendolyn Day An Arts and Science education will pave the pathway to my career goal of becoming a licensed practicing veterinarian. Majoring in biology and taking classes that prepare me for the real world will allow me to become a veterinarian. These classes will also allow me to get in to vet school. Since I could walk, I’ve wanted to be a vet. If I receive a scholarship, I could use that money to fund my college and education to better myself and the community. After vet school, I plan on travelling around to farms in rural, lower-class places and providing veterinary care for a reduced price. With the current economic recession, we all, myself included, have felt the burdens of budgeting and debt upon our shoulders and I want to give back to my country by relieving some of that burden. I want to help keep food on America’s tables, one animal, one farm at a time. A personal quality I have is how I manage stress well. I can keep my head clear and focused even though the world may be falling down around me. Growing up in a household with
