Victor Frankenstein at a young age was curious about the world around him, and after reading the words of various natural philosophers Victor began studying all that dealt with he could, and in the process he began to lose himself as a person. Though he socializes with his family, Victor has very few sentimental connections with anyone else, and after the death of his mother he throws himself deeper into his studies creating a greater obsession. The sacrifices found within any scholar can relate to the event that occur within the story of Frankenstein , as a scholar countless nights are spent studying and working and as those nights pile on great physical changes begin to occur. Eye bags begin to form, constant head aches start to become a regular thing. These traits become apparent to Victor when his physical state begins to deteriorate. The quest and sacrifices of a scholar who attempts to obtain hidden and great knowledge is a tough and complicated one to any scholar. In the perspective of Victor Frankenstein, his sacrifices continue to go on pass the completion of his monster; he continues to lose sleep over his The Pursuit of Knowledge creation and falls into a deep state of insanity and despair. The quest and sacrifices taken by Frankenstein prove to be useless because his results were far from expected, but to the over achieving scholar who sacrifices sleep and health to succeed , keep on attacking the books in order to find true hidden knowledge and at the end of the day be truly successful.
