11. Captain Walton and Victor Frankenstein are alike in that both men are generally adventures who are easily inspired by new information they receive. Also both Captain Walton and Victor Frankenstein are blindly dedicated to pursue any discovery that pertains to their benefit and they are driven by curiousity to be the first man to do or discover something like Frankenstein who wanted to be the first to give life to an animate object. Captain Walton and Frankenstein are different in that ultimately Walton dos not make Frankenstein’s mistake of letting his creation take over his entire life but Frankenstein did have good intentions. Both these characters relate to the Ancient Mariner in that both come face to many trials and tribulations. They also face similar hardships like the Mariner did. 12. The creature from Frankenstein and the albatross from Rime of the Ancient Mariner are alike in that both their presence and absence in their respective stories greatly affect those around them.
