1. administrative law-The body of law that governs the administration and regulation of government agencies it encompasses the procedures under which these agencies operate as well as external constraints upon them. Administrative law is considered a branch of public law and is often referred to as regulatory law. 2. Assault-is a threat to hurt someone 3. Battery-is touching someone without their consent 4. breach of confidentiality- is when a patients information is read by someone that does not have permission to read it or see it 5. burden of proof- you have the responsibility to prove the burden 6. case law- (or common law) is based on judicial decisions and precedent rather than on statutes. Sometimes case law applies only to situations where the facts of a new case exactly match the facts of the case that was previously decided. 7. civil law- Civil law deals with the legal rights and relationships of private individuals and includes: • Torts (any wrongful acts for which a civil suit can be brought) • Contracts
