Bio Notes March 18 Parasympathetic Action Sympathetic Action- Synapses and Responses- stimulates epindephrine and other molecules Know in and out of when the ion moves, what action potential means, what the reading potential is, what the threshold means Main idea- Once a certain section of the nerve membrane has been changed, the old ionic state must be created again. The synapse ------ chemical synapse----- What are the possible ways of manipulating neurotransmitters? ---- Inhibit the reuptake by the presyanptic membrane ---- put a similar size of cells that block neurotransmitter receptors ----- molecule that can directly attach to the receptor and changes the receptor port ------ blocking the uptake by the postsynaptic membrane ------- manipulating storage vesicles Nuerotransmitter vesicles combine with the neurotransmitters receptors alongside the post- synaptic membrane Communication of synaptic cleft- many of the neurotransmitters are now part of the receptacles. Synaptic Clapses- there are multiple synaptic connections that can be drawn in with the brain
