The Industry Conditions Report contains essential baseline information for all market segments Today we will cover the customer buying criteria for each segment. This is how the customer evaluates products and chooses which to buy.

The customer expects price to drop $0.50/yr Ideal Position, which is represented by size and performance on the perceptual map is next. The ideal position changes each year (smaller & faster). Reliability or MTBF is least important but must be within the recommended range. More hours between failure is preferred.
