SALES REPORTING PIVOT TABLE PROJECT Accounting Information Systems, Spring 2012 Value: 5% of overall semester grade Due Date: Tuesday March 20, 2012 Case Background Regional sales of ABC Inc. are stored in an Excel file. You are asked to perform a sales analysis for the company. The data fields include Region, Year, Product, Total Sales, and Total Costs. Each region has a VP of sales and each product line sold in a region has a product sales manager. Required The company needs to analyze its sales performance, and has asked you for help. You are required to construct a PivotTable that explicitly shows the regional sales figures per product per year and yearly total sales figures per product (think about what you should drop in the row and column fields, and in what sequence). In addition, you are required to construct another PivotTable showing the yearly profitability per product, per region, and regional total profits for the two years. Finally, you will be constructing a PivotTable of your own design as a means to award yearly bonuses to VPs and managers. The corporate office has determined they will award a total of $300,000 in bonus and they have asked you to for your help in determining how the bonuses should be allocated. Your Pivot table should show support to how you plan to allocate the bonuses. Turn-in
