The motion of a projectile in the horizontal dimension is independent of the motion of the object in the vertical dimension. Does the x-velocity component change after the marble leaves the ramp? Why? No, the x-velocity component stays constant and does not change after the marble leaves the ramp because there is no acceleration in the x direction. 2. Does the y-velocity component change after the marble leaves the ramp? Why? Yes, the y-velocity component changes after the marble leaves the ramp because the acceleration of gravity pulls on it in the y direction. 3.
