Liza Paley I didn’t realize that the grocery industry was nearly as advanced as what Jamie told us in his presentation this past week. I have never before heard of Hy- Vee, which I’m surprised about considering I live in Illinois and they are prevalent just in the Midwest. I was able to easily compare it to Whole Foods because it seems to be very gourmet and from the pictures, it looks like a grocery store that I would be excited to walk into. The fact that they have all of those different little restaurants right inside of the grocery stores is very impressive. Also, when he said that they hired chefs form Wal-Mart and that when those chefs were instructed to mix together ingredients they had no idea what to do really says a lot about the fresh aspect of Hy-Vee. Knowing that places like Wal-Mart only make frozen food is disgusting, and makes Hy-Vee look a million times better. I don’t think that I could see myself working in grocery, either on the corporate side or in the stores. I think that you must really have a passion for
