Review 1 19:28 VOICE DISORDERS Phonation : sounds that are produced and the physical acts that are created by the  larynx (has to do with voicing) Resonance:  occurs in oral or nasal cavities; may result in an abnormality from the  palate or the tongue—anything having to do with the shape of the oral tract or the air  flowing through the nasal cavity (has to do with production of sound) Voice:  audible sound produced by pronation Dysphonia/aphonia:  impairment of voicing or absent of voicing Pitch:  has to do with fundamental frequency of voice Quality:  everything that’s left over after you account for pitch and loudness  two  different singers singing the same note with same pitch and same loudness and the only  way to distinguish is when one is female and one is male; may refer to roughness or
