The purpose of this exercise is to read the following synopsis of the implementation of a lesson, answer the discussion questions individually, and use your responses as a basis for class discussion in small groups about the lesson. The Setting:Junior high life science class; 1:12-2:07 P.M., spring semester. SYNOPSIS OF EVENTS 1:12 Bell rings. 1:12-1 :21 Teacher directs students to read from their text while he takes attendance. 1:21-1 :31 Teacher distributes a ditto to each student; students are now to label the parts of a flower shown on the handout. Silent reading and labeling of ditto. Teacher verbally gives instructions for working on a real flower (e.g., by comparing it with the drawing on the handout). Students may use the microscopes if they want. Teacher
