Unformatted text preview: Why do you think that the homeschool movement is growing so rapidly? Should parents who choose to homeschool (or send their children to private school) have to pay taxes toward public education? I believe that homeschooling is growing so rapidly because of the advantages. An example of one advantage is the rise in violence and drug abuse reaching an alarming rate in public schools, and even some private schools. Just this week there was a story on the news about a kid in Ohio that shot and killed some of his classmates at random. By choosing to home school, parents have more control over their childs environment and are able to protect them in that way. Another reason parents may choose to home school is that it enables them to teach their child about religion. Our society has become so politically correct that it seems more concerned about offending people not of this country than the rights of our natural born citizens.
