Name Chinua Achebe widely defines that the slave trade results negatively contributed to the misery experienced by African Americans. Chinua's opinion is appropriate. It is because many evils were experienced in the course of the trade. Most people were ferried to America to work for the Americans. The effects of slavery are felt up to date. It is true, just as Achebe explains, that black Americans are obligated to be proud of their African roots. Instead, most of them despise their origin. It cannot be blamed on them but on their subjects. The black Americans were separated from their land in ways that could not be retrieved.
