The Unisys Trusted Enterprise study revealed that air travellers in Asia Pacific rank their locally-based carriers to be more trusted than airlines based in Europe or North America. The study also found that Asia Pacific air travellers rank safety and security as the most important factor to build (75 percent) or erode (87 percent) trust in an airline. “Qantas has built its trusted reputation, both in Asia Pacific and globally, through the commitment and focus we as an airline have put on safety, security and customer service. In a region where the number of low cost carriers is rapidly increasing, the trust in our brand plays a critical role in our competitive differentiation,” said Geoff Dixon, CEO, Qantas. Justin Williams, head of Commercial Industries, Unisys Australia and New Zealand said “Trust is much more than simple customer satisfaction – it is a measure that businesses should carefully monitor and manage to ensure that their organisation is perceived as a trusted enterprise.
