ECE 113 Communication Electronics Course Description: Resonant circuits and filters. Analog modulation and demodulation circuits. Frequency synthesis and phase locked loops. Basic concepts in radio frequency (RF) circuit design. Other communication circuits. Section: THU Schedule: Lec: TTh 10-11:30 Instructor: John Richard Hizon Consultation: M 8-12am, TH 8-10am, W 10-12am Grading Scheme: 92 – 100 1.0 88 – 91+ 1.25 84 – 87+ 1.5 80 – 83+ 1.75 76 – 79+ 2.0 72 – 75+ 2.25 68 – 72+ 2.5 64 – 67+ 2.75 60 – 63+ 3.0 00 – 59+ 5.0 Grade Breakdown 30% Design Exercises 70% Exams (80%) + Problem Sets (20%) Class Policies: 1. The student must pass both the lecture and laboratory component of the course. 2. Absolutely no Cheating. A student proven to have cheated or have aided in cheating automatically incurs a 5.0. A case will be filed to the Student Disciplinary Tribunal. 3. There will be 3 Long Exams. If the student gets an average grade of 76 or higher, the student is exempted from taking the Final Exam. 4. Re-grading of exam papers will only be considered up to a week after the exams are
