CONDOMS 1000 B.C.E Condoms are used to prevent diseases and stay safe during sex. The early condoms were made from animal intestines, paper, leather, animal bladder, and tortoiseshell. By 1855 there were rubber condoms, later in the 1950’s there were Latex condoms. They were tighter, lubricated, thinner, and the risk of leakage and pregnancy decreased. Mark Cichocki, RN (2020)
THE AMERICAN GAY RIGHTS MOVEMENT 1924 The first gay organization was the American Gay rights movement. About forty years later, Illinois was the first state to decriminalize homosexuality and It inspired many gay activist to create more movements fighting for gay rights; The Stonewall riots for example. Compared to the last two decades the American gay rights movement have changed drastically. In 1993 President Clinton passed the “Don’t ask, Don’t tell policy”, gay men and women could serve as long as they didn’t talk about their sexuality. (History.com Editors. (2020)
