IT 205 Management of Information Systems Assignment: Telecommunication Tools at Dirt Bikes USA Purpose of Assignment This assignment tests your understanding of business applications of internet and wireless technologies by discussing their benefits and drawbacks. Resource: Chapter 6 in our textbook, Essentials of Management Information Systems Scenario: Dirt Bikes USA has networked the office desktop computers and provided Internet access to the office employees. Dirt Bikes’ management has identified these communication and information gaps: Employees aren’t getting the information they need to do their jobs, both in the office and out in the field, in a cost-effective and timely manner. People outside the company, such as vendors, customers, distributors, and other business partners, aren’t getting the access and information they expect quickly and easily. Management is lagging in obtaining information about developments in the motorcycle industry and the global economy.
