Why or why not?Yes, I think that there is a contradiction because employers state how they want agreeable employees because they are nicer and easier to work with and “you can teach people any technical skill, but your can’t teach them how to be a kindhearted, generous-minded person with an open spirit”. So even though employers state that they want agreeable employees, agreeable employees actually have lower job performance and in the long run are not as successful. So in reality employers say that they want employees that are agreeable but they actually probably have more employee that don’t possess this trait.2.Often the effects of personality depend on the situation. Can you think of some job situations in which agreeableness is an important virtue? And in which is it harmful?
