ECE 200 Digital Logic Systems Drexel University Fall 2011-2012 Homework #7 Due: Wednesday November 30th, 2011 at beginning of class (11:00AM) Show all work. Points will be removed for answers without work. Text problems are from Chapter 7.6 (p483) of the Marcovitz Text (3 rd Edition). It is your responsibility to do the correct problems if you are using a different edition of the book. Problems from different edition of the text will be marked incorrect. Marcovitz Text: 1) 7-2 (only problem d and only use D FF and JK FF– you do not have to solve with SR and T Flip-flop) Other Problems: 2) A sequential circuit has two inputs (A and B) and contains one D flip-flop that has only D and clock inputs. If A = B the flip-flop is unchanged, otherwise the flip- flop is complemented. Find the excitation equation for the D flip-flop 3) Construct state tables, output tables and state diagram for a state-machine that recognizes the occurrence of a particular sequence of bits, regardless of where it occurs in a longer sequence.
