STRATEGIC ANALYSIS AND SELECTION 2 Discrimination and Affirmative Action Most companies or organizations do not have large IT sections to design, coordinate and administer the IT software systems they need to make their business grow and function properly. Usually, larger organizations hire contractors to complete projects relative to IT despite two directorates already in place for IT systems. Such business trends are also prevalent in the Army because companies like such as EduServe International and Social Entrepreneurs, Inc. (SEI) are specialists that assist organizations in determining IT systems good for both present and future operations. Additionally, they also provide a blueprint on requirements to make the software a successful lifelong project. Moreover, management consulting allows consultants opportunities to work with IT administrators, department heads and other key personnel in various IT issues relative to project and change management, budgets, system evaluations and redesign, and strategic and institutional planning (Eduserve International, 2010). Broader scopes of service include due diligence, governmental compliance, facilitation, and sustainability (Social Entrepreneurs, Inc., 2010). Such consultants are the specialists who attain electronic surveys from the customer, evaluate the survey, then design the IT program most suitable for the organization.
