Module 3 Session Long Project The financial management of Garmin’s international operations is led by the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Rauckman. Prior to becoming CFO of the entire company in August 2000, Mr. Rauckman was the CFO of Garmin International, the subsidiary of Garmin that is in control of the company’s overseas operations. (Buisnessweek.com, 2010) He served in this capacity when joining the company in 1999 and this experience helps him execute the company’s international financial strategies today. Prior to joining Garmin, Mr. Rauckman served as Director of Finance of an aerospace unit of Allied Signal (now part of Honeywell) from 1996-1999, and before that was a Finance Manager with Unisys Corporation from 1993-1996. He also serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at the University Of Kansas School Of Business. (Buisnessweek.com, 2010) As head of Garmin’s international operations, Mr. Rauckman identifies the foreign risks of the company and works to create policies that help mitigate these risks. He works with his financial teams in the different regions of the world where Garmin operates. The company has substantially grown these international operations over the last ten years, both through organic growth and acquisitions. To meet the demand for its products internationally, Garmin has expanded its manufacturing capacity by building a new plant in Taiwan in 2007.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
