Principle of Marketing: Chapter 2 Notes Organizations and Types An organization: Is a Legal Entity of People who share a common mission For Profit Organizations: seeking profit, gains, or benefits for shareholders Types of Organizations Not-For-Profit Organization: Entity that serves customers, but does not have profit, as operational or organizational goals. Strategy: An organizations long term course of action designed to deliver a unique customer experiences while achieving its goals. Strategic Directions: The overall assessment of where businesses organizations are now, and where they seek to be in the future Strategic Analysis An organization should analyze its current and potential competitors from domestic and global perspective to determine whether any business definition modifications are needed. Strategic Direction-2 Where does an Organization want to do? An organizations directions, allocation of resources, and Moving to New Directions Marketing Process Strategic Marketing Process and its Four (4) Key Phases: o Planning o Implementation o Evaluation
