Case study assignment 6 1. The things I find most impressive about SWA (Southwest Airlines) are their ad campaigns. There bold and very funny, it usually very uncommon for ads to be so funny in my opinion, I love that you can see their personalities behind it. 2. I would give SWA a B+ for the management jobs on crafting the company’s strategy. I like the fact that throughout the Airline industries constant up and downs, SWA’s strategy has made them return throughout it all with consistent profitability. I believe the low-cost strategy was great until the recent new competitors joined in. 3. To execute the company’s low cost/no frills strategy the company put into place many cost effective strategies. Operating only Boeing 737’s to keep parts, repairs, and personnel amongst other things down. Ticketless travel was another way that SWA kept fares, employee, and travel agent expenses down. Southwest also saved money, cut air travel time, and avoid high traffic airport fees by landing at airports that were smaller
