Mouse: used to navigate, click on different options, open up things, drag ‘windows’ to new places. Joystick: a game controller used to play arcade computer games and flight simulators. Smart whiteboard: a whiteboard with digital recognition software that can transfer what the user has written on the board into a computer document. Scanner: A device that can digitally represent text, handwritten text, graphics and other paper documents and have them stored on a computer. Output devices Monitor: a computer display, a window between the computer and its user. Printer: produces a paper copy of information that can be on a computers screen. Sound card: plays music or sounds through the computers speakers of headphones. 4) Touch screen displays are monitors that the user can touch instead of using a stylus or mouse; these are commonly used at ATM’s, libraries, airports, malls, etc. Barcode readers are also frequently used in shopping areas, banks, and other locations, to calculate the price, taxes and totals for the transaction, and for inventory use.
