The reason behind why I have listed them as a cost-based company is because they are a strategic company created by Wal-Mart to pass on their cost-based sales to the consumer. Sams Choice was named so by Wal-Marts founder Sam Walton. This company Sams choice sells beverages in generic cans just like other name-brands in the cola industry. They have used such a great cost-based strategy in being a branch company of Wal- Mart because where national brands marketing expenses are incurred Sams Choice beverages and other items are not because they are supported by Wal-Mart naturally, which cuts a great deal of marketing costs down for the company. This all makes it possible for customers to receive great quality beverages at a reduced price of national brands.
