How to Succeed in Online STAT 301 If you’ve never taken an online course before, it can be a big transition to work solely through the computer. The important thing to remember is that there is a real, live human being here at Purdue who is happy to help you. Actually, there are several of us here who want to help you learn this material. Ellen Gundlach is the course coordinator for all STAT 301 sections and the lecturer for your class, the 8:30 and 9:30 MW sections in UNIV 203, and the 11:30 MW section in UNIV 119. If you’re in the Lafayette area, you are welcome to take advantage of the office hours posted on the course website. These office hours are staffed by lecturers for the traditional courses. Any student is welcome in any lecturer’s office hours. There are also several evening help session times in a computer lab scheduled for evenings when you have an assignment due. See the office hours page on the course website for specific dates, times, and locations.
