Chapter 10 Persuasive Request Letter Exercise Select one of the situations below to write a “persuasive request letter” 1. You are the director of a local organization (make up the name and address of your organization). You would like to plan a tour of the Hershey Corporation’s chocolate plant in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Write a persuasive request letter to the customer service department seeking permission to tour the facilities. To make your appeal a little stronger, you decide to call the company and ask for the specific name of the person to whom to send the letter (make up the name and address for this assignment). 2. You are the sales representative for a local radio station (make up the name and address of your station). Write a persuasive request letter to the manager of a mid-sized business in Corpus Christi trying to convince him or her to sponsor local broadcasts of Texas A & M- Corpus Christi Islander baseball games. To make your appeal a little stronger, you decide to call the company and ask for the specific name of the person to whom to send the letter (make up the name and address for this assignment). 3. You are the director of a local charity (make up the name and address of your organization) . Next weekend you would like to use some office equipment from a prominent business in the same city.
