Psychologists are very important in the mental health field. In this field a doctor, or psychologist aids, advises and guides individuals about personal problems they face in their life. Some are also allowed to prescribe medication if needed. Psychologists earn this career by getting their PhD and passing the state licensure exam. A PhD will take up to seven years, and this is after they have completed a four-year Bachelor's college degree in psychology or a related field. They can work in private offices, public clinics, hospitals, schools, or any place, which seeks to have a person on to help improve their employees' quality of life. Counselors are also important in this field. They act as advisors to patients/ and or people in much the same way a physiologist does, but they are more widely found in public systems such as schools. They provide conversation and advice to people, but cannot prescribe medicinal needs. Often a counselor will work for a Psychologist. They can work in schools, hospitals, and
