Company History This is a new company that I will co-own with Christopher Kennedy. Chris is in pharmacy school and will receive his doctorate in 2011. I am currently finishing up my Master’s of Business Administration and will receive my degree in October 2010. With all we have to bring to a new business academically as well as with our passion to help people, we should prove to be very successful business owners. As co-owners he will manage the pharmaceutical aspect of the pharmacy while I am able to manage the administrative, financial, marketing, and all other aspects of the business side of the pharmacy. With the intention of offering the convenience of over the counter medications, vitamins, creams, cleanser, and many other products at a competitive price, we will offer customers a warm, friendly, and safe environment that will meet their pharmaceutical needs. Business and Industry Profile There are four basic ways to open an independent pharmacy. The first is to purchase an existing pharmacy. This not only allows for easy access to market entry but also market exit. Often taking this route has the advantage of coming with a loyal customer following, drug wholesalers, and other vendors. accurate budget and forecast. Many retiring pharmacist choose to make their exit from the pharmacy world in this manner (Coogler, 2010). A second and relatively easy way to open your own pharmacy is to purchase a franchise.
