Motivational Theories; Learning and Reinforcement Homework Review Each member of an organization has his or her own style and ways of behaving. Effectively working with others requires and understanding and appreciation of how people differ from one another. Early in the course, we focus on individual differences - how people differ from one another. As leaders we need to understand individual differences because they have an impact on the feelings, thoughts and behaviors of each member of the organization. Individual differences affect, for example, job satisfaction, job performance, motivation, job stress and leadership. - As your assignment for next week, I will be asking you to self-assess your own beliefs, values, behaviors, and assumptions about yourself. - As you saw in the preface to this instrument, you will use this activity to “provide you with a quantified method for looking at strengths as well as self-defeating behaviors”, in the hope that you can continue what you’re doing good and build on your weak areas. Motivational Theory Application Theory is great but how do I use it? The should be a business application. Why bother with trying to motivate your people?
