According to the IMA statement members should not only adhere to the principles set forth in this ethical statement but also encourages others within the organization to adhere to them. It is her duty and responsibility to report Earle. The code actually lists steps to take once a conflict arises to help people who are put into a situation like Arnett. These steps include: -Discussing the issue with your immediate supervisor. If the supervisor is the one involved in the conflict, take the issue to the next level in your chain of command.

No action should be taken against her if she were to report Earle. Most companies have a policy in place to protect those that come forth on issues like these. It may be referred to as a no retaliation clause. This should protect her from any issues with Earle that might result from her reporting his unethical behavior.
