Indirect materials costs are the costs of items that are not used as raw materials, but make production possible, safer, and more proficient. The items will not include raw materials and are charged to overhead accounts. According to this definition some of the indirect costs Toll Brothers would incur are Nails, glue, safety helmets, safety goggles, and dust masks.
