I found many articles on the decision tree otherwise known as CART. The site below did a great job of summing up the information that I found. The decision tree is used to map out observations about an item in order to predict conclusions about the target value. CART refers to the more precise term, classification and regression trees. Conjunctions are represented by branches and classifications are represented by leaves. The tree can be used to ultimately and visually represent decision making and decisions. For example, if a decision tree illustrates that opening a new location or branch of the business

In my field they are constantly trying to grow and to make the degree programs available to more people. Decision trees could be a good way to illustrate not only to the company but to potential investors where the next best place to grow the business will be.
