branch of the online department. At this time, we only have a Sales Team, Management Team, and an Administrative Team. Phoenix does not have its own Finance Department, Evaluation Team, Academics Team, or Registrar. Previously they have tried to centrally locate some of these departments within the Phoenix office, but this has not been an effective use of those resources. Therefore, a brand new plan needs to implement to get the Phoenix admissions department back on track. The executive committee that this report will be presented to would be comprised of the CEO, Vice President, and the President of the online department of DeVry Inc. II. Purpose of Report The purpose of this report is to prove to the executives that they can greatly benefit from reengineering their business process. The benefits that will be presented include lowering costs, lowering risks, bettering the use of our staff, and implementing the development incrementally. I will provide some examples of how we can get this redesign of the business process started. As this process is never-ending, they can implement more changes once we measure how effective our initial efforts are. III. Background of the Topic

Business process reengineering (BRP) has been defined as an advance aimed at enhancement by the means of raising effectiveness and efficiency of the business process that exist within and across companies. It has also been referred to as the methodical transformation of an existing system into a new form in order to appreciate quality improvements in operation, capability, functionality, and performance. A key motivation has been the continuous development and exploitation of intricate information systems and networks. The idea is not to improve current ways of doing work, but using technology to support innovative business processes. The questions that need to be addressed are as follows: Why is reengineering needed? How will it solve the issues facing DeVry? What are the benefits that will arise? What will happen to DeVry if the BPR is not undertaken? The Ford Motor Company example of reengineering is a great illustration of
