Increase understanding of gospel doctrines in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2. Increase understanding of church organization and government 3. Increase understanding of church history from 1805 to the present Learning Activities : (Grading: A=94%, A-=90%, B+=87%, etc.) 1. 60 % - Doctrinal " We Believe " Papers - Using the scriptures you will deepen your understanding of the doctrine of the restored gospel as found in the 13 Articles of Faith. Papers are due at the beginning of each class. No points for late work. 2. 20 % Memorization of the 13 Articles of Faith. 3. 10 % - History Component Read the book Our Heritage . (email updates and questions-Blackboard quizzes) 4. 5 % - Personal Religious History (3-5 pages) - Write a personal religious history. 5. 5 % - Citizenship (Attendance, Participation, Promptness, etc.) 100 Points Total Attendance : More then 6 absences will result in a loss of credit for the class. Failure to stay for the entire class is considered an absence.
