Disadvantages of Web 2.0 Web 2.0 also has its disadvantages which have been analyzed by companies who refused to use this technology. The Web 2.0 technology needs the internet connection in order to perform tasks; as a result it passes on the dependence to businesses that use these Web 2.0 applications (Diaz, Russell & Macelis, 2009). To illustrate, if an employee is unable to connect to the internet then the employee will not be able to access to the information needed at specific time and will be unable to use the applications needed to do work on time. This is the major weakness that Web 2.0 has demonstrated. Furthermore, disadvantages of Web 2.0 also include the possibility of companies obtaining low quality of information which can be generated from sources where the content can be freely edited by any users such as Wiki (Diaz, Russell & Macelis, 2009). This type of public accessible tools also runs the risk of having the site breakdown and therefore, it requires attentions to the administrators of the application for the maintenance. The risk of
