MATH 20C (Winter 2011) Calculus and Analytic Geometry for Science and Engineering MWF 3:00 pm – 3:50 pm, Center Hall 101 Instructor : Michael Shulman, mshulman@ucsd.edu Office: Office Hours: M 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, WF 11:00 am – 12:00 noon, and by appointment. Textbook: Jon Rogawski, Calculus: Early Transcendentals . If you don't already have this book, then Rogawski's Multivariable Calculus: Early Transcendentals has the only chapters we will use (11–15). Midterm Exams: Friday, January 28 th and Friday, February 18 th . Final Exam: Wednesday, March 16 th , 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Discussion Sections: Thursdays, Center Hall 217B TA: Janine LoBue Walter Faig Michael Kasa Office Hours: TBA TBA TBA Reading Sections of the textbook will be assigned as reading for each lecture; these will be posted on WebCT as well as announced in class. You are expected to do the reading before each lecture, and you are responsible for knowing all the material in the assigned reading, and in the sections relevant to the assigned homework, whether or not it is mentioned in the lecture.
