I have been diagnosed with ADHD when I was 9 years old. I had a hard time paying attention in class, being very impulsive with my behavior, and super hyperactive in class settings. I believe that past events that have affected me emotionally, physically, and mentally have caused my diagnoses. Step 2: Evaluate Your Theory Locate a research article that reports findings about risk factors for the disorder you selected in Step 1. Use PsychINFO to find one research article that reports findings about a risk factor for the disorder. The article must be published in an academic journal and report findings from an original study . The article cannot be a review paper or a theory paper. List the risk factor, write the complete reference for the article in APA format, briefly describe the main findings IN YOUR OWN WORDS , and explain specifically if this finding refutes or supports the information in your personal theory about how this disorder develops. You must bring a copy of the article to class to earn points. Research Article - Risk Factor PSYC 4400

However, findings show that these risk factors were independently related and that women who experiences stressed or smoked heavily during pregnancy affected the outcome of their child having ADHD. Many women with children with ADHD also experienced limited coping abilities and martial stress in children with ADHD alone. PSYC 4400
