Learning: Classical or Pavlovian Conditioning Nurturing: What events in the environment can cause  learning? 17:46 Conclusions Struggle for existence can lead to both competition and cooperation between  individuals. Cooperation can arise between individuals who share many genes (like social insects,  kin selection) or who may reliably reciprocate (vampire bats, reciprocal altruism   must  be able to recognize individuals and keep score.) There is grandeur in this view of life – we can explain the emergence of life forms  around us.
