Types of Arbitrage Cultural Arbitrage The use of culture to sell products in other markets (think U.S. media and fast food, French wine, etc.) Administrative Arbitrage The ability to operate in places with different legal requirements – working around home country rules (lower taxes are one example) Geographic Arbitrage Ability to sell products from one area in another due to low cost transportation and communication Economic Arbitrage Because firms tend to focus on core capabilities some forms of Arbitrage tend to result in outsourcing
