Corequisite: It is strongly recommended that students select on of the following courses prior to taking the Course: BIO 111, BIO 115, CHM 111 or CHM 131 F. Catalogue Description: The first course of a two course sequence, this course presents an integrated approach to structure and function of the human body. This course emphasizes normal microanatomy & physiological principles of human cells, tissues, skeletal elements, & the musculature, circulatory & respiratory systems. Thirty contact hours are allocated to working with the human specimens, including cadaver, and the remainder of laboratory time is allocated to the cat as a specimen. Models, prepared slides, physiological experiments including instrumentation are also part of the laboratory learning experience. Laboratory fee is required. A. Required: 1.
