Implication(s) of the Lecture and readings for this course – Chapter 4 is covering the purpose of a computer input and output devices and their functions. The most typical input that people uses is a keyboard as an input device. As a pointing device, most people use mouse widely. But with special purposes, there are pen-based device, handwriting recognition device, and touch screens. Those special pointing devices are often used from touch pads and graphic tablets. Not only we can input data by keyboards or pointing devices, but also scanners and digital cameras are functionally considered as input devices. Scanner allows users to input data in physical form, such as photographs, drawings, and printed documents, into a computer. Digital Cameras do same functions as scanners. Audio Input system is known as Speech recognition systems that enable computer program to realize the words
