Adulthood and Aging: Social Processes and Development I chose this topic and article because I find that the thought of social selection that can begin in early adulthood. I think that the way a person is to surround themselves with people is an important part of who they are. As I read the article I was able to think about the way I interact with people. I find that by comparing information to my life I can better understand it. It states that as a person gets older they will have the same number of people that they are close to will stay consistent over the years. These people will be the ones that a person will interact with which will be emotionally meaningful. This article also talks about the relationships between friends which will play a huge role if a person does not have siblings. Both of these types of relationships will contribute to the overall well-being within social situations.
